Garden explorations

22 April 2024

On a beautiful weekend, we made the most of the scaffolding finally being removed from our garden and shared in exploring the whole of our garden again.

Residents loved feeling the warmth of the sun, spotting the amazing array of flowers, shrubs, and trees that the garden has to offer. Residents were smelling and feeling the plants, listening to the birds singing, and enjoying the sounds of a sporting contest on the school field behind the home.

There are still many beautiful tulips on display, along with wallflowers, forget-me-nots, jonquils, and ferns starting to unfold, which one resident said looked like seahorses. We also enjoyed the blossoms, particularly from the apple trees, and are looking forward to the fruits that will appear later in the year.

Folk then made the most of the sunshine by gathering around a table to chat, and we got the sun hats out for the first time this year. What a lovely morning!
