Whether you are considering a future move, arranging respite following a hospital stay, or providing a short break for a loved one or carer, selected Colten Care homes currently offer a four-week short stay for the cost of three weeks.

This arrangement allows families to spend longer within the home, experiencing daily life while receiving the same care and support that residents rely on every day.

Four weeks for the cost of three

A short stay at Braemar Lodge provides the opportunity to experience life within the home over a full month rather than a shorter visit. During that time, residents receive the same care, support and hospitality that form part of everyday life in the home.

Residents have their own private en-suite room and take part in the daily life of the home. Meals are prepared fresh each day, shared spaces are available throughout the home, and landscaped gardens provide additional places to spend time.

Activities and interests can continue as usual, supported by staff who take time to understand each individual. Nurses are present day and night, providing clinical oversight and reassurance whenever it is required.

For many families, this period offers the opportunity to understand how the home feels before making longer-term decisions.

Terms & Conditions

The arrangement: four weeks of respite care for the cost of three weeks.

  • Valid for respite stays confirmed and paid for in full between 1st April 2026 and 31st July 2026.
  • Available across selected Colten Care homes, including Braemar Lodge in Salisbury.
  • Limited to one stay per person during the stated period.
  • The stay must commence no later than 31st July 2026.
  • Places are limited and offered subject to availability. Rooms are allocated once full payment has been received.
  • Admission is normally arranged Monday to Friday, unless agreed in advance with the Home Manager.
  • Room allocation is at the Home Manager’s discretion.
  • All admissions are subject to a pre-admission assessment, provided without charge, to ensure the home can safely meet the individual’s needs.
  • Colten Care Ltd reserves the right to withdraw this arrangement at any time.
  • Fees paid under this arrangement are non-refundable.
