Meet the team

The team at Belmore Lodge brings together experience, clinical oversight and steady leadership within one coordinated home. From the Home Manager and Clinical Lead to care colleagues, hospitality, housekeeping and maintenance, each role contributes to how the home operates day to day. Communication is consistent and responsibility sits clearly within the home, so decisions are well informed and standards remain dependable.

Care is delivered by people who know the residents well and work closely together. Continuity matters, especially as needs change. Behind the scenes, the wider Colten Care group provides governance, professional support and shared learning, strengthening how the home is led and maintained. What families see is a team that works with clarity and purpose, with the resident at the centre of every decision.

Home Manager – Janie Wilkins

Janie brings more than 40 years of experience across healthcare, with a career spanning both nursing and midwifery in the NHS and private sector. This breadth of experience has shaped a deep clinical understanding, alongside a compassionate and considered approach to care.

Over the past decade, she has focused on nursing home environments, supporting both elderly residents and those living with dementia. Janie’s approach combines clinical assurance with genuine warmth, creating an environment where residents feel understood, respected, and cared for with consistency and sensitivity.

Clinical Lead – Mary Preethi George

Preethi is our Clinical Lead, responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of care within our home, ensuring that residents receive exceptional, person-centred care tailored to their needs. Preethi leads the nursing and care teams, providing clinical expertise and guidance to ensure that best practices are followed and regulatory standards are met. Preethi is dedicated to delivering excellence in care, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the professional development of the care teams under her leadership.

Customer Support Advisor – Tracy Baker

As our Customer Support Advisor, Tracy is dedicated to providing exceptional service and support to new enquiries, residents, families, and visitors. Tracy is the first point of contact for enquiries, ensuring that everyone who contacts our care home receives clear, helpful information and a friendly, professional experience. Tracy assists families throughout the process of choosing the right care for their loved ones, offering guidance on our services, answering questions, and providing ongoing support. From coordinating visits to addressing concerns, she is there to help every step of the way, even making sure new residents have everything they need to settle in to their new home.

Nursing Team

Nurses are on duty at Avon Reach 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of nursing care, tailored to their individual needs. Our nurses provide expert clinical care and leadership within our home. With a focus on both clinical excellence and compassionate care, our nurses are committed to promoting the wellbeing and dignity of all our residents. They work closely with the Home Manager and other healthcare professionals to create care plans that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Head Chefs

Our home benefits from two dedicated Head Chefs, ensuring our kitchen operates seamlessly seven days a week. This commitment allows residents to enjoy the same high standards of dining every day, with fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully prepared meals. This is Gary, who, along with his fellow Head Chef, works closely with residents and the care team to design menus that support wellbeing, offering variety and creativity to make every mealtime a pleasure. Gary is responsible for leading the catering team in preparing delicious, nutritious meals that cater to the diverse dietary needs and preferences of our residents. With a passion for creating high-quality, home-cooked dishes, Gary ensures that every meal is balanced, flavourful, and tailored to individual requirements, whether for specific health conditions or personal preferences.

Companionship Team

As a member of the Companionship team, Beata is responsible for creating and coordinating a wide variety of engaging and meaningful activities that enhance the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents. Beata and the team work closely with residents to design a programme of activities that caters to diverse interests, abilities, and preferences, ensuring every resident has opportunities for social interaction, creativity, and fun. This includes regular minibus trips out of the home, keeping residents connected to their community.

Health Care Assistants

Our Health Care Assistants provide compassionate, hands-on care and support to our residents, helping them with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. This is Iven who, along with our Senior Care Leads, works closely with the nursing team to maintain person-centred care, tailored to the individual needs of each resident. The team’s responsibilities include assisting with daily personal care, taking medications, helping with mobility, and offering emotional support to ensure residents feel valued and respected.

Gardener

Our gardener is dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful, tranquil outdoor spaces that residents can enjoy all year round. With a focus on enhancing the wellbeing of our residents, they ensure that the gardens are inviting, safe, and accessible for all. Our gardener encourages residents to relax, walk, or even participate in light gardening activities, understanding the therapeutic power of being in nature and the impact it can have on our residents’ quality of life.

Senior Administrator

Alison is the friendly face and organised presence at the heart of Belmore Lodge’s daily operations. Alison is responsible for ensuring that the reception area runs smoothly, providing a warm welcome for residents, families, and visitors. She plays a key role in supporting the home’s management and care teams by ensuring that all administrative processes are efficient and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Maintenance

Our Maintenance team ensures that our home facilities operate safely and smoothly for residents. They support residents with routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Their duties include conducting monthly tests and inspections on various equipment, such as fire doors, water temperature outlets, fire extinguishers, security doors, internal and external lighting, wheelchairs, window restrictors, reclining chairs, and nursing beds.

Housekeeping

The Housekeeping team plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment for our residents. With the utmost respect for our residents’ private space, the team carefully clean rooms and en-suites, including residents’ own keepsakes such as pictures and ornaments. Personal clothing is carefully laundered, ironed, folded and returned to residents’ rooms on a daily basis.

“The staff and management are very friendly, helpful and caring.” – Teresa N, daughter of resident at Belmore Lodge
