Belmore World Book Day
On Thursday, the 7th of March, we gathered for a delightful World Book Day celebration!
The home looked festive with bunting created from pages of unwanted books, setting a charming atmosphere.
A book sale and Bric-a-Brac stall showcased lovely, donated items, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity of the year, St Barbes Museum in Lymington.
Staff and residents embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up. Christine was wearing a waistcoat her sister had crafted for her, paired with a charming pocket watch pin cushion that she had lovingly made years ago.
Her outfit truly embodied the essence of the White Rabbit from “Alice in Wonderland.” In the afternoon, we indulged in a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, where we were joined by children from the local new Nursery called “The Clock house.
We had Pink Lemonade, scrumptious sandwiches, cakes, and sweets spread across the table. While the children joined in the fun by dressing up in costumes.
It truly was a lovely day enjoyed by everyone!
