Holi Hindu Festival of Colour

It was a very informative afternoon learning all the history behind this colourful festival.

Finding out all about the colours, how blue represents the colour of Lord Krishna’s skin.

Green symbolises spring and rebirth, while red symbolises marriage or fertility, not forgetting yellow is commonly used in rituals and ceremonies.

All the residents had a go at covering companion Jane in the chalk like colours, some were a bit hesitant about doing this, but once they go into the swing of it, they completely cover Jane.

June even wrote a poem about it all and read it to Jane today.
