Maypole Dancing

This afternoon residents and staff gathered together to enjoy the tradition of Maypole Dancing.

There was much amusement as the staff performed the ceremonial folk dance around the pole. Traditionally the dancers would weave complex patterns with the ribbons, whilst we can’t say that our dancing formed intricate patterns, we did manage to weave the ribbons round the pole to much applause from the residents. Such great fun!
