World Art Day
We started celebrating world art day with creative designs.
Residents painted pictures of vases in bright colours using acrylic paints, with attention to detail, concentration, and care.
Residents then pasted pictures of various flowers into the top of the vases. We laminated the pictures, which gave a shiny professional look. The pictures were laid out on the table for our artist Paul Dolman to view whilst visiting the home in the afternoon.
Paul began by introducing himself letting residents know how he became an artist. He let the residents know that he was happy to answer any questions whilst painting his picture.
Paul created a relaxed fun atmosphere where residents showed great interest and asked plenty of questions. He painted a picture of loch Lomond in Scotland.
Paul donated his completed painting to Avon Reach with all proceeds going to Christchurch food bank plus, our chosen charity.
