A Windy Day
We visited Osprey observation point at Ham Common Nature Reserve Park in Poole recently, which opened to the public a few years ago.
While we were there, we did not spot any Ospreys or white-tailed eagles. Nevertheless, the view of Poole Bay was spectacular and compensated for the lack of sightings.
We also learned that in the past, Ham Common was heavily exploited for ball clay. As you can see, Elisabeth stands next to a carved oak and stainless-steel Osprey sculpture, depicting the mother of the first Osprey chick.
