National gardening day fun!

Today is national gardening day, so to celebrate some of our residents spent the afternoon outside in the spring sunshine enjoying some tea in the fresh air.

We thought it would be nice to make some of our own clay flower pots from plaster of Paris, so that we can decorate and use them for flowers.

Resident Wendy enjoyed helping to make the mixture smooth and ready to carefully pour into the moulds. Once they were set aside to dry, we had a walk around the garden to pick some fresh flowers.

When we decided we had enough flowers, we sat down to arrange them in to bud vases to go on our dining tables to brighten up the rooms.
