24/7 DEMENTIA & NURSING CARE

The residents of St Catherines View, and every home in the Colten Care family, benefit from having Colten Care employed nurses on-site at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our residents enjoy their homely surroundings, vibrant atmosphere and beautiful gardens safe in the knowledge that should they require nursing assistance at any time of the day or night, it’s not only available immediately, it’s provided by nurses they know, and who know them.

We believe this comprehensive approach is essential to deliver the best possible care for our residents, to give reassurance to their loved ones, and to ensure continuity of care should their care needs increase over time.

We also provide access to an Admiral Nurse, a specialist dementia care nurse who gives expert practical, clinical and emotional support to families facing the challenges of dementia.

Your Care Services

Dedicated Dementia

At St Catherines View, we offer a completely different dementia care experience, guided by our philosophy of ‘living well with dementia.’ Our dedicated dementia community promotes a stimulating and engaging environment where residents who are living with dementia can live life at their own pace, maintaining a sense of purpose, independence and belonging.

Nursing Care

St Catherines View’s nurses are available for all residents, at all times. We believe that’s the bedrock of a safe and happy home, providing nurse-led care to manage complex medical conditions, whilst ensuring all residents can stay within their familiar and comfortable home setting should their care needs change.

Assisted Care

Our dementia care teams assist with all aspects of daily living for our residents, from personal care to taking regular medications, working flexibly to promote independence providing support to maintain the physical care and comfort of residents.

Short Stay & Respite

We offer the same high quality care services enjoyed by our long-term residents on a short-term basis. Whether it’s for a short period of recovery, a respite break or simply a trial run for those looking for a permanent move, we offer a home from home where residents can live their life, their way.

End Of Life

We want people to live well with us, making the most of every single day. If that means being together until the end of life, we want our residents to die well with dignity with family around, in familiar surroundings with staff they know well.

Wish you were here!

We aim to make every day worth writing about, and our residents enjoy keeping loved ones up to date with what they’ve been up to at St Catherines View. Here are some of their recent highlights.

The words of our residents and relatives say more than we ever could.

“My mother had been in St. Catherines View for four and a half years, where her care had been kind and caring. Her developing health issues from April were managed in a way we would all want for our elderly relatives. But, the care in my mother’s last few days was beyond everything we could have wished for. The kindness and constant attention helped me too and, in fact, in the end all was calm and all was easy. Thank you.”

“Accommodated in a modern purpose-built complex, St Catherines View offers the best possible environment for the provision of excellent dementia care. Medical care benefits from having nurses onsite 24-7. Liaison with GPs and the hospital is seamless. Food is cooked from scratch onsite. It is first-class. Full-time activity staff motivate residents and day trips feature. The quality of management and staff alike is unrivalled. From reception staff to nurses, carers and cleaners, they are, without exception, professional, polite and totally trustworthy. A splendid example of teamwork, professional development is encouraged, and staff turnover is low. I cannot recommend St Catherines View highly enough.”

The words of our residents and relatives say more than we ever could.

“My father was a resident of St Catherines View for over nineteen months. Living only a short walk from the home, I was able to visit him many times and become acquainted with the staff whom I found to be professional, friendly and very caring. The home was well-appointed and comfortable. I believe that my father could not have spent his final months in a better place. My brother and I were very happy with every aspect of St Catherines View.”

“Thank you all for the wonderful care you gave to my sister in the last few years of her life. It was comforting to know she was in such good and capable hands. We especially enjoyed the weekly zoom calls that enabled us to see her when far away in California. You are the best!”

“St Catherines View is a warm, welcoming place from the moment you walk through the front door. There are many staff who are attentive, patient, empathetic and alert to the resident’s needs. When Mum has had medical issues, they have quickly noticed and worked with the NHS to resolve them. Everyone has been so helpful and accommodating from the beginning of the process. We were very reticent about residential care, but bringing Mum to St Catherines View was a great decision.”
