A Token of Kindness In West Moors
Residents at Brook View have been deeply engaged in learning about our local ‘Community Larder’ here in West Moors and the invaluable support it provides to our neighbours.
Moved by the spirit of giving, our residents felt compelled to reach out and assist local families facing hardship.
Throughout January and February, we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff, relatives, friends, and visitors who contributed to our donation drive.
On Friday, February 16th, which coincided with Random Act of Kindness Day, Lauren, our companionship team leader, had the privilege of meeting Michelle, the dedicated individual behind the Community Larder.
During their discussion, Michelle shared insights into the larder’s mission and the impact it has on the community.
She expressed her joy in witnessing individuals shop with dignity and feel supported by the community.
Michelle and her team play a vital role in the fabric of our community, not only through the Community Larder but also with initiatives like the ‘Tea & Toast’ group, which addresses both loneliness and hunger.
Learning about their noble endeavours, our residents were eager to support them as part of our Random Acts of Kindness Day initiative.
Through this collective effort, we hope to make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbours and strengthen the bonds within our community.
