“I’m writing this card on behalf of my mother who lives in the cottages within the grounds of Brook View. Mum is severely sight impaired so isn’t able to write this herself. She has her lunchtime meal everyday at Brook View and wants to say that since she has been having her meals the staff have all been so kind and welcoming, she’s always greeted and recognised and acknowledged as a person who likes to be there. She always enjoys her dinner and clears her plate every time as the dining staff will know! She says the choice is always very good and she’s very grateful when small requests are accommodated. Please pass on her grateful thanks to your team, with special thanks to the catering, dining, reception and cleaning staff. P.S I have been a guest of my mum for lunch and it’s been delicious!”

“It’s been nearly 3 weeks since Dad passed away, so I am slowly coming to terms with it. I’m sure it is never easy , but the time of year makes it very hard. But what I hold on to is the fact that he was where he wanted to be when he passed, at Brook View. And that is a testament to the care and affection you showed him in his short time with you. My dad was a very proud man and was so ‘not him’ lying there in that bed, but you gave him dignity as much as was possible and he trusted you all. Thank you. And from me, bizarrely, I miss seeing you all- I say bizarre because I would never have expected that, but it’s because you all gave me such wonderful support.
