Brook View is a residential and nursing home located in the Dorset village of West Moors. It is a charming home with a traditional ambiance and the cosy, welcoming atmosphere of a rural retreat. It was purpose-built to provide the highest standards of living.
Every photo you’ll see on this website is of real residents and staff, because the quality of life at Brook View is not just a promise, it’s a reality.
“Our friendly team is passionate about creating a positive, happy, homely environment, where our residents feel more like family.” – Kerry Mason, Home Manager
The residents and staff of our West Moors care home are a family, making memories with each other every day. We are living life to our full capabilities, with positivity, empathy, compassion and respect.
Our care teams assist with all aspects of daily living for our residents, from personal care to taking regular medications, working flexibly to promote independence providing support to maintain the physical care and comfort of residents.
Brook View’s nurses are available for all residents, at all times. We believe that’s the bedrock of a safe and happy home, providing nurse-led care to manage complex medical conditions, whilst ensuring all residents can stay within their familiar and comfortable home setting should their care needs change.
Our residential care service is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxed home environment where home maintenance, laundry, cooking and housekeeping are taken care of on your behalf.
Short Stay & Respite
We offer the same high quality care services enjoyed by our long-term residents on a short-term basis. Whether it’s for a short period of recovery, a respite break or simply a trial run for those looking for a permanent move, we offer a home from home where residents can live their life, their way.
Although Brook View is not a dementia home, we are committed to supporting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilled lives, and that includes those living with the earlier stages of dementia or cognitive impairment.
End Of Life
We want people to live well with us, making the most of every single day. If that means being together until the end of life, we want our residents to die well with dignity with family around, in familiar surroundings with staff they know well.
We aim to make every day worth writing about, and our residents enjoy keeping loved ones up to date with what they’ve been up to at Brook View. Here are some of their recent highlights.
” I would like to thank everyone at Brook View for their kind and attentive care towards our mum, ensuring her comfort at all times.”
“I’m writing this card on behalf of my mother who lives in the cottages within the grounds of Brook View. Mum is severely sight impaired so isn’t able to write this herself. She has her lunchtime meal everyday at Brook View and wants to say that since she has been having her meals the staff have all been so kind and welcoming, she’s always greeted and recognised and acknowledged as a person who likes to be there. She always enjoys her dinner and clears her plate every time as the dining staff will know! She says the choice is always very good and she’s very grateful when small requests are accommodated. Please pass on her grateful thanks to your team, with special thanks to the catering, dining, reception and cleaning staff. P.S I have been a guest of my mum for lunch and it’s been delicious!”
“It’s been nearly 3 weeks since Dad passed away, so I am slowly coming to terms with it. I’m sure it is never easy , but the time of year makes it very hard. But what I hold on to is the fact that he was where he wanted to be when he passed, at Brook View. And that is a testament to the care and affection you showed him in his short time with you. My dad was a very proud man and was so ‘not him’ lying there in that bed, but you gave him dignity as much as was possible and he trusted you all. Thank you. And from me, bizarrely, I miss seeing you all- I say bizarre because I would never have expected that, but it’s because you all gave me such wonderful support. You are a great team and I thank you all,”
“To all the nurses and care staff, thank you for looking after him so well.”
“I cannot thank you enough for the most special welcome. I was able to glide in immediately and love in abundance. It was great fun joining in all the activities, wonderful memories and not easily forgotten. I will look forward to further visits from time to time.”
“All of the people with whom I had contact including management, reception, carers, nurses, companions and others organising activities were extremely nice to deal with and as well as demonstrating a high level of efficiency also showed empathy and great kindness towards my mother.”
Finding the right care home for a loved one is about trust. At Brook View, you can be confident in the quality of care we provide.
