Daphne’s Wish!
Resident Daphne is not a native to Bournemouth, having recently relocated to Brook View from Buckinghamshire to be closer to friends.
Daphne thoroughly enjoys trips out to the seaside at any opportunity, and has shared with us how she would love an open top bus ride along the coast.
After some investigation, we established that navigating an open top bus ride was going to be a bit of a challenge, but our fantastic minibus driver Karen suggested the land train along Bournemouth seafront!
The train has rear disabled access, so we were able to take four residents along for the ride! Companion Rebecca and SCL Lisa, together with bus driver Karen, assisted our residents for their sunny day out!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the breath of fresh air, and we were blessed with perfect sunny spring weather. Along with fellow residents Trevor, Pam, and Janet, Daphne got to enjoy a relaxed fish and chip lunch overlooking the sea at Boscombe’s Neptune Harvester.
Everyone loved helping make Daphne’s wish come true!
