Brook View Raises Funds For Waggy Tails
Brook View residents selected the local charity ‘Waggy Tails’ as their chosen charity for 2023.
Staff, residents, family, and friends brainstormed various ideas and methods to raise funds for dogs in need. This included hosting our very own dog agility show in our beautiful gardens throughout the year. The residents of Brook View were immensely proud to present a cheque for £600.96.
Janet White, whose dog ‘Percy’ was recently rehomed by Waggy Tails, expressed her delight, stating, “I am delighted to meet Nicky this morning and hear a happy update about Percy.”
Waggy Tails conducts rehoming within East Dorset and West Hampshire, which involves pre-home visits and follow-up checks. They also offer vital advice services to address pet problems and provide guidance on the best possible care.
Nicky, who assists in running Waggy Tails, visited us with her two rescue dogs, Dory and Eddie, and shared the significance of the donation to the charity. Nicky expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you all; fundraising money goes towards food, shelter, and covering large vet bills that can amount to £6000 per year.”
Nicky and her team organize open days at the West Moors memorial hall to connect with potential dog owners.
