We believe that connection, creativity, and gentle stimulation play a vital role in wellbeing. That’s why we have a dedicated Companionship Team whose sole focus is to bring daily life to life, offering moments of joy, calm, and purpose.
From group events to one-to-one time, every activity is thoughtfully tailored around the interests and comfort of our residents. Whether it’s singing a favourite song, sharing memories, or simply enjoying a quiet moment in the garden, we make sure everyone can take part in a way that feels natural and fulfilling.
Let’s talk about what would make life meaningful for your loved one. Our team would be happy to share more about the activities and daily life at Linden House.
Living well with dementia means feeling included, capable, and connected. At Linden House, every activity is thoughtfully adapted to suit each resident’s abilities, comfort, and sense of self.
Our Companionship Team takes time to understand individual interests and personal histories, often involving family members to create activities that feel familiar and fulfilling. Whether it’s gentle exercise, creative expression, or sharing stories, we support residents to take part in ways that build confidence and spark moments of joy.
At Linden House, we know that meaningful engagement looks different for everyone. That’s why our Companionship Team creates a flexible, thoughtfully planned programme tailored to each resident’s interests, pace, and personality.
From vibrant group sessions to peaceful one-to-one moments, residents are always free to take part in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. For those who prefer quieter time or need extra support, our Companions offer personal visits, whether it’s helping with a favourite pastime, sharing a conversation, or simply spending time together.
Every interaction is designed to bring comfort, connection, and a sense of purpose.
Whether you’re ready to visit or just want to talk things through, we’d be glad to help.
At Linden House, music and the arts are more than just activities, they’re pathways to connection, comfort, and self-expression. A familiar song can unlock long-held memories. A paintbrush can offer calm focus and quiet pride. These moments matter deeply.
Our Companionship Team curates a vibrant programme of interactive music sessions, live performances, creative workshops, and even resident choirs. Every experience is adapted with care, so that residents at every stage of dementia can join in, feel uplifted, and take joy in expressing themselves.
At Linden House, we believe every resident deserves special moments of happiness. We go the extra mile to fulfil residents’ wishes, no matter how big or small, from revisiting a beloved hobby, arranging a special outing, or recreating treasured memories.
Celebrating each resident’s individuality is fundamental to our care philosophy, ensuring they always feel valued, respected, and deeply cared for.
“My aunties life has been transformed. She has embraced the activities and seems so happy.” – W M, Daughter of resident at Linden House
Residents and staff at Linden House had a wonderful time holding some fantastic fundraising events to raise money for the homes chosen charity of 2024, Lymington Dementia Support Group.
All 21 of Colten Cares homes took part in raising money for their chosen charities, and raised an amazing combined total of £43,528.99 in 2024, with Linden House contributing £2107.40.
Alongside money raised, we also supported local Foodbanks and local hospitals.
We ask our residents who should be the home’s charity of choice each year. Putting a charity focus into our activity programme is a great way of building links with other community organisations.
Lymington Dementia Support Group will be the charity of choice at Linden House for 2025.
