Meet the Team at Linden House

It takes a special kind of team to support people living with dementia, one built on empathy, expertise, and quiet understanding. From our Home Manager to our nurses, Companionship Team, Head Chef and Housekeeping staff, everyone at Linden House plays a part in creating a calm, reassuring environment where residents feel safe, known, and valued.

With strong continuity and minimal use of agency staff, many of our team have been with us for years. We work closely together to provide consistent, relationship-based care, always putting residents at the centre of everything we do.

Priya Joseph – Home Manager

With over 20 years’ experience in nursing and care, Priya Joseph leads Linden House with quiet confidence and a deep commitment to each resident. She began her journey with Colten Care in 2003 as a Nurse and became Home Manager in 2021, following a number of clinical and leadership roles.

A former acute medicine nurse at Lymington Hospital, Priya brings both professional expertise and calm reassurance to daily life. Families often describe her as open, thoughtful, and easy to talk to — someone who listens with care and leads by example.

Her approach is grounded in dignity, trust, and connection. Whether sitting down with a resident, supporting her team, or guiding a family through the next step, Priya is always focused on what matters most: helping people feel heard, supported, and truly at home.

Clincal Lead – Mitch Tan

Mitch is our Clinical Lead, responsible for all aspects of clinical care at Linden House. He oversees our nursing and care teams, ensuring every resident receives high-quality, person-centred support tailored to their individual needs. With many years of experience as a qualified nurse in the care sector, Mitch brings clinical expertise, calm leadership, and a deep understanding of dementia care. His role includes mentoring team members, maintaining best practices, and ensuring we meet, and exceed, regulatory standards. Mitch is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care throughout the home.

See How Our Team Shapes Each Day

Life here is shaped by the people you’ve just met. From morning routines to afternoon hobbies, our team’s presence is woven into every calm, purposeful moment.

The people here aren’t only here to provide care, they’re the ones who make daily life at Linden House feel calm, engaging and personal. From music in the lounge to herbs planted in the garden, their presence is woven into every moment.

Kay Gibson – Admiral Nurse

With her extensive knowledge and qualifications in dementia, Kay primarily supports our dementia communities with clinical needs (such as nutrition and medication), social well-being needs (such as meaningful activities) and assists in the review of our dementia training and development of our dementia strategy.

Amanda Exley – Care Co-Ordinator

Amanda’s role is to support the Home Manager and Clinical Lead in the day-to-day running of the home. The main focus of Amanda’s role is high quality care delivery. She works closely with the care team to ensure that all care staff are equipped with the knowledge, training, and understanding to provide consistently high levels of care for each resident.

From classic favourites to creative new dishes, meals are tailored to suit a range of dietary requirements, including those related to dementia and age-related health conditions. Every plate is served with care, helping residents feel at home and well supported.

Companionship Team

Our companionship team is responsible for creating and coordinating a wide variety of engaging and meaningful activities that enhance the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents. The team work closely with residents to design a programme of activities that caters to diverse interests, abilities, and preferences, ensuring every resident has opportunities for social interaction, creativity, and fun. This includes regular minibus trips out of the home, keeping residents connected to their community.

From seasonal planting to sensory-friendly layouts, the garden is designed to be safe, tranquil, and inviting, encouraging residents to relax, take a gentle walk, or enjoy light gardening activities if they wish. We understand the therapeutic value of time outdoors, especially for those living with dementia, and our garden plays a vital role in supporting calm, comfort, and everyday enjoyment.

Maintenance

Our maintenance team ensures that our home facilities operate safely and smoothly for residents. They support residents with routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Duties include conducting monthly tests and inspections on various equipment, such as fire doors, water temperature outlets, fire extinguishers, security doors, internal and external lighting, wheelchairs, window restrictors, reclining chairs, and nursing beds.

With great care and respect for residents’ personal space, the team cleans rooms and en-suites thoughtfully, including personal keepsakes such as photos and ornaments. Clothing is laundered, ironed, folded, and returned daily, ensuring comfort and dignity are always upheld.
