Singing In The Community

5 March 2024

On a wet and windy Tuesday morning, the Linden Voices excitedly gathered and boarded the minibus for their much-anticipated monthly singalong at the United Reformed Church with the local community.

Once settled in with coffee and biscuits, Fiona, the talented Colten Care Music and Arts Partner, led the group in various vocal warm-up exercises to prepare their voices for the harmonious session ahead.

Their musical journey began with the enchanting hymn “Morning Has Broken,” setting a serene tone for the rest of the morning, followed by a medley of beloved classics including “Sing,” “I Have a Dream,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You,” “Country Roads,” and “Sailing.”

Each song was thoughtfully selected to allow everyone present the chance to sing along and immerse themselves in the joy of music.

The Linden Voices promised to return the following month, promising a diverse selection of songs from their vast repertoire, eagerly anticipating another heart-warming gathering with the community.

As they bid farewell and boarded the minibus amid the pouring rain, spirits remained high, undampened by the weather.
