We understand what an overwhelming time it can be when admitting a loved one to a home. That’s why at Newstone House, our aim for all admissions, be they urgent or planned, is to give you confidence and reduce your stress.
Our aim is to take the weight off your shoulders and simplify the process, giving you less to worry about.
Here’s what a typical admission to St Catherines View looks like, step by step:
Step 1 – Your initial enquiry, either by phone or online form, is where care needs are first discussed
Step 2 – We’ll invite you to view the home with a dedicated Customer Support Advisor, meet the Home Manager or Clinical Lead, discuss fees and any other requirements
Step 3 – If you wish to proceed, we’ll make contact with you to arrange a thorough, in-person, free and non-obligational pre-assessment to assess the level of care required. An individualised care plan is created following assessment
Step 4 – If we’re able to meet your care needs, we’ll confirm the admission and fees with you and your loved one, agree an admission date, then take you through what personal items to bring on admission, such as clothing, photos, medication, and homely touches
Step 5 – Prior to admission, we’ll issue our Terms of Residence, invoice and consent forms
Step 6 – On the date of admission, we will have arranged everything to ensure a warm welcome to the resident’s new home, with everything taken care of
If you have any questions about the process of admitting a resident into our home, we would be more than happy to talk you through it over the phone. Give is a call on 01258 474530.
“My husband has very complex nursing requirements and Colten Care approached this professionally from the outset before agreeing to take him for respite care. The Home Manager visited us at home to be sure that Newstone House could accommodate his needs and then discussed it with the Clinical Lead.” – S C, wife of resident at Newstone House
