Meet the team

The team at Newstone House brings together experience, clinical oversight and steady leadership within one coordinated home. From the Home Manager and Clinical Lead to care colleagues, hospitality, housekeeping and maintenance, each role contributes to how the home operates day to day. Communication is consistent and responsibility sits clearly within the home, so decisions are well informed and standards remain dependable. 

Care is delivered by people who know the residents well and work closely together. Continuity matters, especially as needs change. Behind the scenes, the wider Colten Care group provides governance, professional support and shared learning, strengthening how the home is led and maintained. What families see is a team that works with clarity and purpose, with the resident at the centre of every decision. 

April King – Home Manager

Supporting the team and residents at Newstone House is such an enjoyable role. I have worked in the care sector for many years and have supported many families with difficult care decisions. So if you’re finding it hard to take those first steps, then I’m here to help you.

Laarni Castelo – Clinical Lead

I have the pleasure and responsibility of leading our team of registered nurses and carers to meet the individual needs of each resident. I’m here to ensure the delivery of consistently high levels of clinical care, and I am always willing to answer any questions you may have.

Lucy England – Care Co-ordinator

My role is to support the Home Manager and Clinical Lead in the day-to-day running of the home. The main focus of my role is high quality care delivery. I work closely with the care team to ensure that all care staff are equipped with the knowledge, training and understanding to provide consistently high levels of care for each resident.

Who Completes Your Care Home Team?

There is a large team of well-trained and compassionate staff at Newstone House, working as one to provide the highest standards of clinical and social care. ‘Nothing is too much trouble’ is something we regularly here about our amazing team in resident and relative feedback.

Nurses

Our Nurses care for many complex conditions so that residents who would otherwise have been referred to a hospital-type setting can continue to enjoy all their home comforts.

Carers

Our Carers play an essential role providing personal care, assisting residents to lead a fulfilled life. and make a meaningful difference to their health and wellbeing every day

Companionship Team

Our Activities Coordinators lead a wide variety of social events and create a stimulating, entertaining and therapeutic environment for our residents.

Customer Advisor

The Customer Advisor is responsible for helping manage enquiries into the home, conducting show arounds and ensuring a new resident’s arrival runs smoothly.

Home Administrator

The Home Administrator manages clerical and daily administrative tasks in support of the Home Manager. They will often liaise with family and friends on behalf of residents.

Gardener

Our Gardener brings expertise in designing and maintaining gardens that are both calming and revitalising, with plenty of visual and sensory interest.

Chef

Using only the best quality ingredients, sourcing them wherever possible from local suppliers, our Chefs create meals that are not only nutritional and well balanced, but beautifully presented and well thought out.

Catering

Our catering team delivers an exceptional service and first-class dining experience to our residents.

Housekeeping & Laundry Team

Maintaining a safe, clean and well looked after home creating an environment where our residents can feel safe and reassured knowing that they will be taken care of each and every day.

Maintenance Team

Our maintenance team provides practical help, support, advice and reactive repairs, helping maintain safe, reliable facilities that are essential to our residents’ individual well-being.

Central Support

Colten Care has a large central Support Centre in Ringwood, Hampshire, providing invaluable support to our team in many ways, from clinical expertise to additional maintenance.
