Baskets and Blooms

We have been getting more and more involved in garden activities with our gardener Lyn lately.

After conversations with her, she invited our keen gardeners to take a trip to the garden centre. Margaret and June were quick to sign up for the trip.

Our minibus driver Martin arrived at Amberwood House, and off we went to meet Lyn at ‘Basket and Blooms.’ The ladies wandered around the beautiful flowers, discussing ideas with Lyn about what we could plant in our big pots. We purchased bright and colourful Geraniums and some trailing Ivy.

After all our shopping, it wouldn’t have been right to go home without a cup of tea and cake. The cake was enormous but so delicious that we wrapped it up and finished it off at home after lunch. Our student Nurse Vuvu enjoyed being out with our residents too.

June has asked if we can go again soon, and Margaret has been encouraging others to join the next garden centre trip.
