IDEAL LOCATION
Amberwood House is located in the heart of Ferndown, a town with a distinct heritage near the New Forest National Park. The centre of Ferndown just a short walk from the home, which itself offers a quiet retreat from the bustle and noise.
ATTRACTIVE EXTERIOR
We’re proud of the thoughtful design and aesthetic of Amberwood House, complementing the traditional architecture of the local area, and surrounded by award-winning landscaped gardens in keeping with the woodlands and wildlife reserves of Ferndown.
TRANQUIL GARDENS
The gardens wrap themselves around the home and enjoy the canopy of the many wonderful trees that share the garden with us. The hot border shows an array of colour with its many shades of perennials and shrubs.
WELCOMING RECEPTION
The hub of our community, always busy with conversation, laughter and the comings and goings of a vibrant home. Warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating and friendly staff ready to assist residents and visitors.
MANAGER’S OFFICE
When our Home Manager is not out on the floor talking to residents and supporting the staff team, they can be found in their office doing what it takes to run a happy, safe and secure home.
NURSES STATION
We provide the reassurance of Registered Nursing on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each floor of our home has a Nurses Station for convenience.
PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN
We have a state-of-the-art professional kitchen at Amberwood House, where our Chef and the catering team work together to serve wholesome, well-balanced meals to delight our residents.
ELEGANT DINING ROOM
Savour delicious meals in a spacious setting that can comfortably seat all residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Make lasting memories over a meal surrounded by sophisticated style.
COSY LOUNGE
Unwind in a cosy, inviting atmosphere and catch up with loved ones, delve into a good book, or simply relax in peace. Experience the perfect balance of socialising and solitude in a warm and welcoming space.
INVITING CAFE
Catch up in one of our cosy and welcoming cafés, where you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee and indulge in delicious homemade treats such as a slice of freshly baked cake.
LUXURIOUS SALON
One of our most popular facilities is the Hair Salon, which residents can use as they wish to make themselves feel special. Appointments can be booked at Reception for an additional charge.
ADAPTED MINIBUS
We have access to a modern, well-equipped minibus with a professional driver. They liaise with residents to understand their preferences and provide access through half-day or full-day trips.

Spacious, light, warm and comforting, your room can be made home by bringing cherished personal items and furniture with you. Every room has ensuite bathroom facilities, and there are a range of options with regards to view and outside access.

YOUR GARDEN
The garden at Amberwood House wrap themselves around the home and enjoy the canopy of the many wonderful trees that share the garden with us. Planting schemes under the walkway encourage natural habits for our wildlife visitors whilst the hot border shows an array of colour with its many shades of perennials and shrubs. The circular walled patio creates a secluded and sheltered environment to enjoy the scents and wildlife in this area.
We recognise many of our residents had such gardens themselves, and gardening may have been a special pastime for them. We offer residents of Amberwood House the opportunity to continue that pastime in whatever way they feel appropriate.
