Here’s To Celebrating The Strong Women That We Are…

It is National Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate than doing all the things we love.

We started the day talking about famous women from around the world and looking into the first female aviator, women’s sport and when we established the right to vote. It was a great reminder of how hard we fought for our rights.

We then moved on to flower arranging. Last week we were lucky enough to have a floristry demo from Helen at the Floristry Academy.

We loved watching her create two beautiful and unique arrangements and it got us thinking about how we can spice up our arrangements.

As it is Mother’s Day on Sunday, we decided to create teacup flower arrangements ready for our Tea Party. Our creative juices were flowing as we began conditioning the stems of roses, carnations, and stocks.

The cups soon took shape and have since attracted a lot of compliments. We chatted throughout about how children when they were young and our fondest memories of family life before enjoying a slice of cake and a cuppa.

We finished the day with a relaxing manicure and are now sporting spring inspired nail designs.

We are now ready to be completely spoilt for Mothering Sunday.
