Life Is Better At The Beach

11 March 2024

As the rain eased, we headed towards the coast to see the sea as life is always better breathing in the sea air.

We pulled up at Boscombe Pier and Companion Kirsty said “let’s go for a walk up the Pier”, “Ah now I know why you have asked me to bring my jacket,” exclaimed June. “Yes, it’s a little nippy”, said John.

Martin assisted us off the bus and we took a stroll up the pier, playing I do like to be beside the seaside on the musical chimes.

We nattered as we walked along and chatted about the cafes and stalls that use to be along the promenade many moons ago.

We headed back to the minibus for a cup of tea and a biscuit before we headed back to Amberwood.

Marion thanked us for encouraging her to go as she enjoyed it so much.

We even printed her photo for her to show her family when they visit. A great afternoon had by all even if a gentle nudge was needed from Companion Kirsty to have a walk.

“No, the sun is shining, the wind and sea are calm, and the fresh air is calling your name, grab your walkers lets go,” said Kirsty.
